Born again - what does it mean ?
Det här fick jag av vad jag trodde var en söt oskyldig gubbe som typ delade ut flygblad angående fattigdom. Eller fräslningsarmén eller något. Det var först när han frågade mig om jag också var en believer som jag kom mig för att faktiskt läsa på lappen han tryckt i handen på mig.

Born again - what it does not mean
1. It has nothing to do with being christened or baptised. Water has no magic power. True.
2. You are not born again by taking Holy Communion or celebrating Mass, even is this makes you feel good. Bara själviska gärningar alltså.
3. Giving up bad habits - smoking, drinking, gambling, taking or peddling drugs - does not make you a born-again Christian. Så vadå, det är helt okej att fortsätta med the bad habits ?
4. Meditation - yoga or trancendental - may help you relax, but it will never give your sole divine life. Nej, finns det något som gör det ?
5. Speaking in tongues doesn't prove you are a born-again believer. People in non-christian religions can do that. Precis, so it must be wrong.
6. It doesn't mean reincarnation (that's an eastern myth) or final resurrection. ALL will be raised whether born again or not. Okej...
Born again - what it does mean
A. You found out that you are a lost sinner, needing salvation from the guilt and grip of sin. Samvete tror jag det kallas, de flesta människor har det.
B. You have acknowledged Jesus Christ as your only Saviour and Lord, who died as a sacrifice for sins in your stead. Hur visste Jesus att jag skulle begå synder ? För 2000 år sedan var jag ingenting. Inte ens en spermie/ägg.
C. You have trusted Him to save you, casting yourself on His mercy, asking for His forgiveness. Jag tycker Han ska be om ursäkt till mig, det vore något.
D. You have found peace and pardon and feel the power of His indwelling Spirit to give you victory over sin. Men hallå, om nu Jesus dog för våra synder så borde det väl vara okej att fortsätta. Jag förstår inte...
E. You have a deep concern for others to experience the same grace of God. Ja grace vet jag inte men visst upplev på du.
F. You look forward to being in Heaven with all the redeemed people of God when you leave this world by death or when the Lord comes back again. Vem säger att det här inte är himlen ? Folk ska alltid resonera att gräset är grönare på andra sidan men jag vet inte jag. Känns rätt grönt här med för min det.
